Videoconferência de Alto-Nível sobre a Estratégia Europeia para os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência 2021-2030

A Presidência Portuguesa, sob o lema "Tempo de agir: por uma recuperação justa, verde e digital", organiza a Conferência de Alto-Nível sobre a Estratégia Europeia para os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência 2021-2030, nos dias 19 e 20 de abril de 2021.

Conforme consta da Estratégia para os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência 2021-2030, a União Europeia está ancorada nos valores da igualdade, justiça social, liberdade, democracia e direitos humanos, sendo o combate a todas as formas de discriminação um dos pilares da União Europeias.

É com o intuito de refletir sobre estes desafios e discutir sobre o caminho a prosseguir, que a Presidência Portuguesa irá organizar esta Conferência de Alto-Nível sobre a Estratégia para os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência, para a qual são convidadas responsáveis políticas/os, instituições europeias, entidades representativas das pessoas com deficiência, parceiros sociais, sociedade civil, pessoas com deficiência e outros atores de relevo.

Tendo como referência a nova estratégia divulgada pela Comissão Europeia no passado dia 3 de março, o debate será centrado nas principais questões que afetam o quotidiano das Pessoas com Deficiência, como a acessibilidade, a vida independente, a desinstitucionalização, os serviços sociais baseados na comunidade e centrados na pessoa, o emprego e a educação inclusiva.

A conferência terá tradução para português, alemão, espanhol, francês, inglês e italiano, interpretação em Língua Gestual Portuguesa e legendagem em inglês. A inscrição pode ser realizada nos links abaixo indicados até ao dia 16 de Abril de 2021, havendo um número limitado de acessos à plataforma zoom.

The Portuguese Presidency, under the motto "Time to deliver: a fair, green and digital recovery", organizes the High-Level Conference on the European Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030 on the 19th and 20th April 2021.

As stated on the Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030, the European Union is anchored in values of equality, social fairness, freedom, democracy and human rights, being the combat to all forms of discrimination and the establishment of equality cornerstones of the EU policies.

It is with the intention to reflect on these challenges and to discuss the way forward that the Portuguese Presidency will organise a High-Level conference focusing on the Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030, that involves political leaders, European institutions, entities representing people with disabilities, social partners, civil society, people with disabilities and other relevant actors.

With reference to the new strategy released by the European Commission on March 3, the debate will focus on the main issues affecting the daily lives of People with Disabilities, such as accessibility, independent living, deinstitutionalization, community-based social services and people-centred, employment and inclusive education.

The conference will have translation into Portuguese, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language and English subtitles.
